The Matching Green Classic & Sports Car Club is the club for owners and enthusiasts of classic, sports, historic and interesting vehicles.

 

Classic motoring for all

The club is open to all classic cars pre 1980, any sports car and any vehicle of special interest.

 

The club arranges local displays, classic car runs, day trips abroad and rallies within our local area, also weekend’s away both in the UK and in Europe. Other non-motoring events are also held.

 

The emphasis is on using and enjoying classic and sports cars in the company of like-minded people.

 

We meet at the Fox, Matching Tye, on the first Sunday and the 3^rd Wednesday of every month, which hopefully allows for the whole family to enjoy our enthusiasm for our vehicles.

 

During the winter months we try to arrange as many varied activities as possible. The club has an active & varied social side that will appeal to all ages.

 

We stage events ourselves and are involved in many events with other car clubs in the year, culminating in an annual car show & barbecue at Matching Green on the first Sunday in July.

 

Open Road, our club magazine consisting of articles written by our members, a list of future events and comments from the committee, is sent to our members twice a year. We also have a monthly newsletter form the chairman detailing recent and forthcoming events.

 

A full range of club regalia is available, including hats, T-shirts, polo shirts, sweatshirts, jackets and key fobs.

 

All members receive an aluminium plaque showing their membership number and a club windscreen sticker.

 

All classic and sports car enthusiasts are welcome to apply to join the club and attend all social events, club nights and other events.

 

Membership costs £25 per annum. Included in the cost is a £5 voucher, which can be used against any club event during the year.
