Matching Green Classic and Sports Car Club

This years May day celebrations took place at the Fox public house in Matching Tye.

Make a date in your diary for our Annual Car Show.  With only 10 weeks or so to go you need to get your show application form in now.

This years diary is starting to take shape. We have confirmed dates for events plus the usual Sunday meets and midweek Wednesday meets.

We are pleased to show you for the first time the new club car!Anyone wishing to hire it should first work out which way its going and secondly take a breathalyser test!!

On a more serious note the real new club car is coming along really well and we hope to be using it on a tour in the very near future. So keep a lookout for it!!

To give you a clue to its identity its not this shape, this colour or this odd but it does have 4 wheels 2 headlights and windscreen wipers.

Here they are!!!  Working hard to give you what you want. The pint glasses and wine bottlles are for display only and must not be confused with having a good time!! Far from it!!!!

The Sport Classic is Porsche’s homage to its most famous and long-standing model: the 911. Its rear spoiler apes that of a 1973 Carrera 2.7 RS, its wheels those first made for the 911S in the Sixties. The dark shades around the headlights recall the 1974 RSR Turbo race car, and even the name Sport Classic has been chosen to remind us of the 911SC that was produced from 1978-84. The result looks like a new 911 that’s unearthed a suitcase full of its grandfather’s clothes and is trying them on for size.

What a wonderful weekend. The scenery was truly breathtaking.

A gourmet weekend with a twist. The halloween party organised by the hotel went down very well indeed. Club members embraced the party with all the gusto you would expect and thoroughly enjoyed the evening as can be seen here!

It was hard to tell who was who with such wonderful costumes.

However, towards the end of the evening as more and more fangs, wigs and horns were either removed or just dropped off it became clearer who was beneath!!

Well done to the organisers Terry and Linda Peasey who masterminded the weekend.
